Apart of a three-person web services team, I handled the visual design. I worked on creating banners and ads for the web, an infographic, and even a few logos for clients.

Glooko

Contract Graphic Designer and Illustrator

For Glooko, I designed a flier that was used as marketing collateral for a conference. I illustrated the infrastructure of their company, their products, and who would use them! The inspiration for the styling of the postcard comes from Google Now cards.

Joy and Revelry

UX/UI Design Intern

My experience at Joy & Revelry was thrilling. I was apart of a small team at a start up focusing on the UX, UI, and visual design of the growing ecommerce platform. It was my first rodeo at a start up, and with a different role than I previously held. It was fun to re-adjust my work process, and switch from thinking about UX to creating icons. I left Joy & Revelry feeling refreshed and confident in my skills. I hope to find something similar that leans more toward visual design.

Contract Graphic Designer

Before beginning the project, I spent a little time at the office to get a feel for the company, how their product works, and what they hope to achieve. Inspired by their mission and my experience in office, I presented two small infographics.

Reel Grrls

Graphic Design Intern

I had a life changing experience while working at Reel Grrls. It was the first time I felt my voice could be heard in the medium I desired. I was the only graphic design intern in a small non-profit that was constantly kept busy to stay afloat. I remember churning out postcards, fliers, banners, stickers and more marketing paraphernalia, almost daily.

During winter of 2012 their annual fundraising gala reared its head and I was put in charge of creating the entire look and feel. I had one week to put together a booklet, invitations for both web and print, and various signage that would be used as decoration. By the end of the week, and with help from other interns, I reached my deadline.

Nearing the end of my internship, I was also put in charge of managing relations with print vendors, overseeing project deadlines, and even coming into the printers' office to check off on final proofs. Needless to say, I couldn't be more grateful for an awesome learning experience.

Embassy Network

Contract Graphic Designer

I worked closely with three founders of The Embassy Network to craft a logo. Excited by the idea, I immediately set to work. I began by interviewing them for their story, getting a general feel for their project, and then, scheduling follow-up meetings to share my progress. There was a lot of sketching involved and I had a blast working on a project I truly felt apart of!
