August 2015 — Present
While finishing my internship, I was extended an offer to stay with the design team. While continuing to fulfill my previous duties (see internship description) , I gradually became responsible for:
-Attend and participate in meetings based on concept, merchandising, color, print, artwork, future initiatives and upcoming seasons.
-Choosing key details for embroideries, appliqués, beading, sweaters, stripes, etc.
-Creating correlating callout sheets for each color-way or artwork option.
-Communicate comments to vendors via Web PDM system for lab dips and artwork submits
-Creating original prints for use across RTW styles
-Creating concept & construction callout sheets for every new style per season to hand off to the Technical Design team and Merchants.
Garnet Hill was in the midst of a major transition to a new headquarters location when my employment begun. A large part of my job there was to ease that transition within the design team and be flexible to switch my focus to what was most important on that day as needed.
