I like to reinvent myself. It's part of my job. - Karl Lagerfeld
Travel, books, fashion, spicy food...
If I could do absolutely *anything* I would love to be a documentary filmmaker or to work in fashion. But I have honed those skills very little (ie I watch a lot of documentaries and have a fashion blog). My goal is to establish a career in the field of creative communication - social media, public relations, or advertising.
Solving the American Employment Puzzle
Public Relations Intern
January 2014 — May 2014
I promoted the SAEP event on the University of Illinois campus through student organizations, classroom announcements, and the creation of new Facebook and Twitter pages. I also developed a hashtag for attendees to use on Twitter and Facebook the day of the event, to share their experiences and ask questions on Twitter for panel members, so that they could answer these questions immediately during their presentations without being interrupted. I conducted interviews and took photographs for the event to use at other universities for promotional purposes.
SPM Marketing & Communications
Business Development Intern
June 2013 — August 2013
At SPM, I headed and carried out the creation of a company e-newsletter to send to c-level clients and potential clients. This newsletter was attached to a blog, which I helped to create and generate content for. I also read through and organized RFPs, researched prospective clients, and created a competitive analyses for SPM. With my fellow interns I planned a company summer party, and learned the basics of Google Analytics in order to teach the rest of the agency and film a webinar for clients wishing to use GA.
