Zainab Ebrahimi

Zainab Ebrahimi

Front-End Developer

I'm fascinated by human behavior and it's relevance to crafting software. I aspire to be a Javascript storyteller and creating inspiring experiences on the web. I love highly collaborative environments, sunlight and a fresh cup of tea. When not at work, you'll probably find me practicing Muay Thai.

Front End Developer

I work with a team of awesome people to bring to you the best online career discovery network you'll find -- I spend most of my time on VIM coding away in Javascript, SASS, ERB templating or hacking my way around Rails.

Parade Magazine

Front-End Developer

Parade was my first official job as a developer. I had been doing websites for people/small companies on the side for a couple years, but never full-time. We were a small team and worked very much like a startup, but within a corporation. We had a small budget but great vision and passion for the product we were building -- a new contributors platform for online magazines. I learned so much! I even got to build a feature in AngularJS. Fun times!

MCD Partners

I.T. Associate

I joined MCD as an intern my sophomore year of college. I learned that a smile can go a long way and that being patient is a highly marketed skill! I did tech support, but also maintained servers, wrote backup scripts, setup routers and VOIP phone systems.

New York Institute of Technology

B.S., Information Technology

I wanted a school at the heart of NYC, in the middle of it all. The vibrant lights of the city that never sleeps were calling me to discover its abundance. I couldn't wait. I transferred and graduated from NYIT. I wasn't disappointed.

Advocating for Education in Chile

I spent a good deal of my high school years advocating for a better public education system in Chile, specially for marginalized schools. I still believe quality education is a fundamental human right and a cause worth fighting for.

Muay Thai

The 8-limb sport has taught me the beauty of learning from your fears and that growth comes with discipline and patience.

Do your best, leave the rest

I never understood my dad, when he said it when I was little. With time I've come to appreciate the quote. It doesn’t matter if you lose or you win as long as you do your best. Always give your all; the outcome is irrelevant.
