• Decreased $34,000 deficit to approximately $12,500 in 6 months; on track to erase all debt by end of the year.

• Submitted a budget that slashed costs without significantly impeding on any of the fraternity’s primary functions such as Philanthropy, Brotherhood, Social, and Pledgeship.

• Planned and executed all aspects of Splashbash, a $40,000 paint party at Echostage (one of the Top Clubs in the U.S.); event sales broke 2000 and revenue reached an all-time high. (Splashbash was ranked one of the Top 10 College Parties in the United States). Skills used: contractual negotiations, sales strategies, event planning, and event execution.

• Perform functions such as Risk Management, Public Relations, and Judicial Review that are required as a member of the Executive Board.

• Academics Chair (Spring 2012)- responsible for ensuring that the fraternity maintains a high academic standard (the fraternity maintained the HIGHEST GPA ON CAMPUS during my semester as Academics Chair)

• Rush Cabinet Member (Spring 2012-Present)- must market the fraternity so that it is desirable to the highest caliber of men; must also be responsible for getting to know the rushes and consider their potential impact on the fraternity if they were to be given bids.

• Social Committee Member (Fall 2011-Present)- worked on the logistics side of social events; played a major role in planning, making teams, setting up, and properly running socials

• 10 Man Plan (Spring 2012)- part of the fraternity’s commitment to eliminate instances of sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking from the Greek system and the University of Maryland community as a whole.

• Cleaning Chair (Fall 2012)- responsible for ensuring that the venue’s used for fraternity events are cleaned both promptly and thoroughly; also responsible for obtaining cleaning supplies and staying within the budget set up by the fraternity.

• Brotherhood Chair (Spring 2013)- provide for the overall cohesion of the chapter through brotherhood events and mediation and intervention in major brotherhood disputes; my job is to make sure all 100+ brothers have a positive relationship with one another.
