During my employment with HANAC Inc as a Case Manager, I worked within two of HANAC's community programs: The In-School Youth Program (ISY) and Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP.) The ISY Program runs in conjunction with the academic school year and offers high school juniors and seniors academic tutoring, SAT preparation, a comprehensive Work-Readiness curriculum, and guaranteed summer employment. The SYEP Program operates during July-August and serves over 600 students between the ages of 14-21 every year. During SYEP, eligible participants are placed in a variety of job sites where they gain valuable paid internship experience in a supervised and safe environment.
