Gamaliel Metro Chicago and South Suburban Action Conference (SSAC)

• Primary organizer for South Suburban Missionary Baptist, Christ Temple Baptist Church, and In The Upper Room Ministries in their congregational development campaign titled Rekindling Our Congregations (ROC).
• Rekindling Our Congregations responsibilities included building and strengthening relationships with clergy and lay leaders, organizing one ROC team in each church, staffing ROC meetings, developing power analysis’s with leaders and empowering and training leaders in community organizing discipline.
• Staffed Executive Board, Clergy Caucus, ROC Cohort, and Senior Citizen Task Force meetings and was responsible for meeting accountability, meeting evaluations, sending email, text, and phone reminder to leadership, and recruiting new leaders to meeting.
• Conducted one-on-one training (Sacred Conversations) for ROC team at South Suburban Missionary Baptist, Harvey, IL
• Worked with Jerry Kellman and Senior Citizen Task Force to developing a Senior Friendly Banking and Restorative Justice with Senior Task Force strategy, and was responsible for recruiting senior citizen leaders, conducting small group dialog, and initiated a relationship with Calumet City Stone Soup restorative justice community.
• Created and maintained SSAC Facebook page and Mailchimp.com account. Responsibilities included growing mailing list, sending email reminders, and taking photos at events to post online.

Aviation Boatswains Mate 3rd Class

Aviation Boatswain's Mates play a major part in launching and recovering naval aircraft quickly and safely from land or ships. This includes preparing and fueling planes prior to take- off and after landing.

-maintaining and performing organizational maintenance on hydraulic and steam catapults, barricades, arresting gear and arresting gear engines
-operating catapult launch and arresting consoles, firing panels, water brakes, blast deflectors and cooling panels
-performing aircraft-handling duties related to the operation of launching and recovery of naval aircraft.

Deck Seaman

The Deck Seaman works in the deck department of the ship. He is one of the unlicensed members of the deck department and the main duty is maintaining the cleanliness of the whole ship. He serves as the assistant of the Able Seaman and can be assigned to do any of the various tasks in the ship.

-Stands deck department watches and performs variety of duties to preserve painted surfaces of ship and to maintain lines, running gear, and cargo-handling gear in safe operating condition: Watches from bow of ship or wing of bridge for obstructions in path of ship.
- Turns wheel while observing compass to steer and maintain ship on course.
-Mops or washes down deck, using hose, to remove oil, dirt, and debris.
- Chips and cleans rust spots from deck, superstructure, and sides of ship, using hand or air chipping hammer and wire brush.
- Paints chipped area.
- Splices wire rope, using marlinespike, wirecutters, and twine.
