Promoted to the drawing office in 1964 as a draughtsman and worked in the drawing office in all aspects of drawing office work for 4 years when I was promoted to leading draughtsman where I was in charge of a small team of draughtsmen in various sub groups. In 1978 I was promoted to the position of senior draughtsman where I was in charge of the Weapons Section responsible for all aspects of weapon systems in ships and submarines with a team of 12 draughtsmen I also acted as Alignment Consultant for all weapon systems. I was promoted to drawing office manager responsible for all modifications to Nuclear Submarines. I was in charge of staff numbers of 100-200 mixed specialisations
on tasks of a value of £1.5 million.
