Currently a Crime and Intel Analyst for San Diego County, providing analysis of trends, patterns, and hot spots activities to determine the who, what, when, where, how, and why of emerging crime in the region. Based on analytics, I develop immediate and long term solutions through resource allocation and target implementation in an effort to decrease or stop criminal trends.

Working with the OES afforded me an opportunity to help the public by aiding in the development and implementation of disaster preparedness procedures and plans before an emergency occurred and working directly with the public during an emergency to address their concerns and fears. I was also fortunate to create curriculum for children to increase their daily safety.

As a Crime Prevention Specialist I tailored my resources to the unique needs and circumstances of my clients. My job entailed community outreach and public education as well as garner positive relationships with law enforcement and the community. I based my daily duties on the concept that crime prevention is a team effort: the individual, community and law enforcement.

I began college in the hard sciences focused on a future career in Organic and Analytical Chemistry. Due to state school budget cuts and the loss of course options, I added a course on Planning and Evaluation in the Criminal Justice system as I've always had an interest in social science. I found my true passion and immediately transitioned towards a career in Public Safety.
