HR and Payroll Director

HR:
• Serve as the primary point of HR contact for a growing organization
• Act as a trusted resource to managers and employees on a wide variety of topics
• Guide and advice managers on effective and legal documentation of team member performance
• Review and make recommendations on Employee Warning Reports
• Review all potential involuntary terminations of employment
• Make recommendations to department managers to ensure sound termination decisions
• Respond to team member relation issues such as complaints, harassment allegations, and other
• Perform investigations as necessary and make recommendations for corrective action
• Guide, train, and direct employees on the execution of HR policies and processes
• Prepare government reports related to EEO compliance
• Oversee the transactional processes for on boarding and off boarding employees
• Revise employee handbook on a regular basis
• Develop and conduct management training sessions on Human Resource policy and procedures on an on-going basis
• Continually evaluate, develop and implement solutions that meet HR strategic and operational objectives

Recruiting:
• Oversee recruiting and selection procedures ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
• Monitor internal transfer/promotion program
• Recruit best talent and conduct new hire orientation

Payroll/Benefits:
• Run full cycle payroll for 300+ employees in ADP
• Oversee outplacement paperwork for all team members for issuance of final check, termination of benefits and administration of COBRA
• Manage leave administration and worker’s comp
• Lead the relationship with ADP to ensure successful transition to new benefits module
• Establish HR vendor relationships as needed for ongoing and special projects
