Calxeda, Inc.

Software Engineering Intern

My main project was to build a fabric analysis tool to study the optimal layout for network topologies. I researched various routing algorithms, and implemented them to gain insight into optimal fabric layout. I computed statistics for each routing algorithm, such as max-min throughput and average number of hops. The tool was built in C++ and used the C igraph library.

Williams College SMALL REU

Research Assistant

I was in the probability and number theory research group. I studied a problem in additive number theory, and generalized existing results about the size of sumsets to the case of multiple dimensions. I submitted a paper for publication, and presented my research at three conferences throughout the United States.

Financial Engines

Financial Analyst Intern

My main task was to update and optimize a database of retirement investment data for faster access. I used SQL and Visual Basic to pull the data for a project testing an experimental model at Financial Engines. At the end of the summer, I presented my findings to a team of financial analysts.
