General Manager Supply Chain: Global Infrastructure & Logistics

Member of the Sasol Group Supply Chain Exco with particular focus on providing thought leadership on Sasol group current & future supply chain infrastructure requirements & logistics operations (LCC/LOC). In addition to this, focus on strategic inventory methodology design & optimization techniques for in and outbound materials.

Managing & providing functional leadership to Centres of Excellence (CoE) in ensuring entrenchment, enablement, execution & adherence to the Sasol group supply chain strategy. Below is a list of CoEs in my portfolio:

Seconded to the international division & providing supply chain support to Deli Foods Nigeria management team. Deli Foods Nigeria is a Tiger Brands subsidiary. The business produced a range of biscuits & snacks that were marketed and sold within the Nigerian informal markets.

My key focus areas were to:
1. Optimize the production & planning processes ito standard operating procedures (SOPs)
2. Review the asset care strategy & advice the management team on optimal usage of artisans & resources to improve plant efficiency
3. Provide technical support to improve product quality & ensure consistent product quality

• EXCO member of the ST&B business and providing support to the Managing Executive in managing the business profitability through revenue growth management and delivering top and bottom line results.
• Leading the efficient operation of the supply chain (end to end) in executing competitive advantage strategies for the business across the procurement, manufacturing, in and outbound logistics, R&D, and SHEQ functions.
• Executing S&OP objectives through effective collaboration with the customer and finance teams to deepen the business category orientation through product innovation, category solutions and supply chain integration.
• Ensuring win-win collaborative partnerships with value enhancing stakeholders (suppliers, customers, research houses, industry leaders)
