There’s nothing quite like pursuing your goals with all you’ve got and finally catching them. It feels amazing—like “I’ve got this. Totally mine. This is exactly what I want.” That sense of accomplishment and success can make you feel on top of the world.

You want things, and you’re not going to let anything stop you from getting them.

You’re running hard and fast, completely focused. Even when you can’t see what it is that you want within reach, you trust that this journey will take you there. The harder you work, the closer you’ll get. And, surprisingly, more energy put in usually means a shorter journey overall.

As you walk down the path, it starts to feel different than when you first started. The warm sunshine that felt comforting at the beginning is now setting, and darkness is settling in. You start to feel worried.

Nervous because your future seems unclear.

Rewriting this to make it sound more positive.

I am overwhelmed and don’t know what to do.

Concerned about what rickety bridges you’ll have to cross, what muddy puddles you’ll have to jump over, what weather might be ahead, and what’s going to happen with everything you left behind.

When you’re sprinting after something, it can feel like you’re chasing uncertainty. But they’re really one and the same.

I would have saved myself a lot of time and energy if I had known that my vision and what I was striving for were one and the same. If I could go back and speak to myself when I first moved to a foreign country where I didn’t know anyone, I would tell my past self not to worry. Everything will work out, and in the end, you’ll find the perfect place to live. She craved a community that would constantly inspire her creativity, help her persevere through heartbreak, and encourages her to never give up on her dreams. Eventually, she started up her own business and slowly but surely learned the ropes of management, money handling, time management, and meticulous organization. She had been neglecting herself because it was comfortable and easy, but she realized that wasn’t the life she wanted to live. She was putting herself out there, falling hard, and crying it out. But she knew she would be fine. And she took the biggest life leap to date, cried a lot, screwed up, and felt the physical pain of her anxious brain. And it would all be okay. Even better than before, wonderfully and expressively.

Big leaps, life shifts, crazy changes, radical ideas – they require you to get down with your uncertain self.

They ask you to take a leap of faith, listen to your intuition and follow your heart. They require you tune in with what makes you come alive – what fills your soul with crazy magic.

Deciding to pursue something even though it’s uncertain is an extremely tough choice. But it’s also a brave one that always pays off in the end, because it shows you’re determined. It means you’re moving forward. You’re not going backward or staying the same, you’re actively making progress.

With time, your eyes will become accustomed to the situation. Your adrenaline will subside. You’ll begin trusting your judgment, instincts, and perspective. The uncertainty won’t be such a trigger anymore.

The great thing about taking risks is that you can always go back to your old life if it doesn’t work out. But, if you never take the risk in the first place, you’ll never know what could have been. So instead of stopping and staying stagnant, keep going and expanding your horizons. You won’t regret it!

There will always be moments of uncertainty, and the fear will creep in telling you to give up. To turn back. To slow down. But don’t listen! But you have to keep going. When you do, fear will cease to control your life, and you’ll finally be free. When you commit to going after your dreams, the universe will show up for you.

Living life with uncertainty is living life fully expressed. It’s being totally free, and also feeling scared sometimes. Yet it’s still beautifully okay.
