We all want to make the best use of our time, especially when we have a lot on our plate between work and personal tasks. If you relate to this like I do, optimizing productivity and streamlining efficiency is key for staying organized throughout your day-to-day activities.

Managing my daily tasks is a simple process: I keep one master list in Google calendar, and three of the most pressing items that must be completed for the day are on another separate checklist. As soon as I cross off an item from today’s list, I move a task over from my master to-do list so it can take its place; this method prevents procrastination which can often occur when faced with looming deadlines.

While all of us have different needs when it comes to list-making, there are a plethora of apps and programs out there that can help make your life easier. Here is a roundup of some great options for any kind of user!

Evernote

The Evernote app is the ideal tool for all of your note-taking, webpage-clipping and list making needs. You can easily organize your information into distinct notebooks that you can share with other users who have an Evernote account as well! The basic plan offers up to 60 MB worth of data storage each month – however, if you choose to upgrade to the premium service for $5 per month or a one time fee of $45 annually, you will benefit from 1 GB worth of content every single month accessible on any device such as web, iOS, Android WebOs and Blackberry!

Springpad

If you’re looking for something similar to Evernote, Springpad is the way to go. It allows users to organize their information in notebooks that are easily shared with others, making collaboration effortless. In addition, there are two ways of list-making within this app: on an individual page or by creating a detailed checklist. Plus, its amazing design works equally well as a grocery shopping list! Not only is it available across all web browsers and iOS/Android devices but it’s also totally free – what more could one ask for?

Todo.ly

This task manager provides a user-friendly approach to organizing your daily tasks. Rather than getting overwhelmed with multiple subfolders, it mimics an email inbox and allows you to prioritize the important tasks for today, tomorrow, or in the future. With its free version available at no cost and unlimited access for $3 per month through their pro version – this is certainly one of the simplest yet most efficient ways to stay on top of your workload!

Remember the Milk

The Remember the Milk app is an excellent task manager that allows you to sync across a variety of devices from your computer, iPad or Android tablet. In its Overview section, users have access to three lists: today, tomorrow and overdue tasks. The Tasks tab provides more organization by categorizing items into Personal, Study or Work-related categories. Additionally, there’s also a task inbox as well as a list where completed activities are tracked for easy reference later on. With its stylish design, the app allows users to easily navigate between lists and provides them with a weekly planner of their tasks. The free account is useful for syncing multiple devices every 24 hours, but those looking for round-the-clock synchronization can upgrade to the pro version for only $25 per year! Remember the Milk can be used on web browsers as well as both iOS and Android systems.

Google Calendar

Google Calendar’s to-do list is the perfect digital resource for both short-term and long-term task management. It sits conveniently next to your calendar, so you have a reliable planning system at your fingertips that also happens to be free of charge! To access it all you need is an existing Google account — easy as can be.

Reminders

Reminders, the closest thing to pen and paper with your iPhone or iPad purchase, allows you to organize all of your lists in one place. It’s an incredibly straightforward app; create lists, add deadlines and reminders as required! Just like Google Calendar it helps keep track of everything quickly and easily – so why not take advantage of this free service already on your device?
