I was offered the job position of Director of Surgical Services but I respectfully declined because I knew I was moving in 6 months and I did not think it was fair to the hospital to take the position under those circumstances.

I was asked to start from the ground up a new Labor and Delivery unit I accepted the job did the Research and opened a growing Labor and Delivery department and Was Director over that department for 1 year which is still operating today. I realized my real passion was drawn to surgery so I transferred to the surgery department where I staffed for 1 year then I took the job of Director of Surgical Services.
I managed 11 employees, 2 CRNA'S, 2 Operating Rooms, Recovery Room, G.I. Lab, Central Sterile, and Ambulatory Care, some of my duties were;
QA reports, policy and procedure manuals, ordering supplies and equipment, staffing, scheduling and working side by side with Physicians and Surgeons to provide excellent patient care.

I also took a management class at Tri-Lakes Medical Center called

"The Power Team"
The Power Team was a very competitive management class that was one year long. In this management class we learned management skills, computer skills, lecture and presentation skills to enhance our job capabilities. I completed this course in 2006.
