As a lab tech I tested the properties of electrical steel to make sure they met company standards. I was also required to keep and maintain records and samples of the tested material. To perform these duties I used micrometers, computers, Franklin testers, ductility testers, shears, roll benders, humidity cabinets, hydrogen furnaces, and other related lab type equipment.
As a quality inspector I recorded results and inspected the steel as it was being rolled after the an annealing process. I maintained records, provided samples for the lab, entered data via pc, used X-ray gauges, hole detectors, and operated the exit end of the annealing line.
Received OSHA 10 hour card for general safety and health
