I collaborated with the operations team on individual tasks related to each branch of operations: purchasing, production, shipping, inventory management, and order fulfillment. The majority of work day was spent efficiently coordinating and executing large-scale shipments for high-profile customers in the most accurate, timely and affordable way possible. This required a lot of creativity and professional latitude, which is the part of my job I loved the most. I also worked as a liaison between the operations department and the customer service department to provide information to the customer so that they had a full understanding of our products and services as they placed their orders.
As the one-woman support team for the top salesperson in the company, I managed client backlog while maintaining the company’s highest customer service rating. I also created and implemented internal and external marketing strategies to fuel sales, proving to be a key player in my manager's move from the least expensive neighborhood in the company to the most expensive neighborhood averaging $500K per sale. To gain further understanding of competition and to maximize our ability to meet the needs of a very diverse clientelle base and close future sales, I provided in-depth field research for competition studies.
