As a Program Associate I provided oversight, management, and maintenance of NCCC project data in electronic and paper file systems, worked in an online data management system to aggregate reports and ensure data integrity, contributed as a team member to the development, support and implementation of projects and partnerships, and coordinated a wide range of logistical requirements that supported the administrative and operational flow of NCCC.
Assisted the City of Sacramento volunteer coordinator in a variety of tasks to run the City's VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program. Tasks included the operation of five service sites during the tax season to provide free income tax services to low-income individuals, outreach, coordination with partners, training, volunteer recruitment and screening, follow-up, public speaking and media campaign design, and other duties necessary for a robust and successful tax season. Additionally, assisted with volunteer generation for City of Sacramento programs and projects.
Responsibilies included receiving and processing patients for treatment, determining eligibility for treatment, scheduling and making follow up appointments using an electronic system, coordinating appointments to ensure there is no conflict with other clinics, assisting patients with accessing their healthcare information, maintaining electronic medical records, assisting in the distribution of workload for check in and check out areas, and maintaining good customer service when answering routine questions from patients.
Courteously greeted customers and efficiently processed transactions within busy, fast-paced retail environment. Effectively operated cash register, scanners and computers to itemize and total customer purchases; collected payments and made change for cash transactions. Assisted with store stocking, floor-sets and opening/closing procedures.
Interacted regularly with students, campus staff, and community partners. Responsibilities included compiling, entering, and maintaining program data, preparing documents for tutor trainings and orientations, assisting with resource development for tutors, creating ways to honor and recognize the work of tutors, assisting with recruitment efforts for America Reads/America Counts program, assisting with program evaluation, maintaining community work study agency files, assisting with other Center for Service and Learning projects as needed, working a portion of the week at the Center for Service and Learning front desk to assist with answering the phone, directing calls, and directing office visitors appropriately.
Provided support for existing Boys & Girls Clubs program activities, developed & coordinated safety education programs, events, and presentations, assisted with recruitment and management of volunteers, maintained resource library of safety related program material.
Served as first point of contact for potential and current clients calling or visiting the salon. Answered phones, scheduled appointments, greeted customers and processed payments for services within busy, upscale hair salon. Additionally, maintained client contact information and assisted with client preparation for scheduled hair care services.
Served as liaison to church administrative staff and board of directors by preparing objectives, goals, strategies and measurements for the youth program, to get them approved by the Pastor. Planned and coordinated special events, service projects, fundraisers and other activities for the church throughout the year. Additonally as the Youth Leader, recruitted additional help for these activities as needed and participated in the local network of youth group leaders from other churches to receive encouragement, gain exposure to other teaching ideas, provide support to others and grow spiritually.
