Lead corporate affairs strategy, focusing on the following:
Public policy engagement: analyze policy and develop corporate position focusing on tech policy issues. Represent and manage company engagement in all member organizations including World Economic Forum, Clinton Global Initiative, TechAmerica, Technet, Silicon Valley Leadership Group, Bay Area Council.
Corporate communications: Secure speaking roles and company visibility at public events. Craft messaging for media interviews, speeches, Op-Eds, and policy forums. Create content for internal and external website touting corporate initiatives.
Thought leadership: Conceptualize and execute events with strategic media, community, and industry partners.
Relationship-building: Foster relationships with national, state, and community influencers, government officials, local stakeholders, community groups and industry associations.
CSR and community outreach: create program for corporate and employee engagement that promotes women's leadership, STEM education, and environmental sustainability.
Supported a portfolio of 30 clients, primarily in the renewable technology sector, to develop and advance their public affairs engagement strategy.
Public Policy: monitored and analyzed policy and news stories for clients, prepared daily news and policy scans, led client calls and email communication, and delivered weekly activity reports. Developed client positions, including briefs for executives, communication materials, and public testimony.
Business Development: Identified public sector market opportunities, prepared grant applications, and garnered stakeholder support.
Relationship-building: cultivated champions for clients’ technology in public policy arena and strengthened relationships.
Advocacy: formed non-profit and PAC entity to support clean technology policy and maintained administrative records. Created website content, collateral materials, and led event management for non-profit, PAC, and campaigns.
Internal account coordination: planned and managed internal SalesForce, file storage, contract management and communications system.
