Provides expert operational support both orally and digitally to Department of Interior employees regarding optimal permanent and historic federal records methods (from organization to storage) by arranging documents, creating box lists, organizing files, executing software tasks for transfer between Department Records Officer, Federal Records Centers (FRC), and the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) - assisting in shipment arrangement, box transfer, and confidential federal records archival process.

KEY FUNCTIONS

► Compose government position descriptions (PD's) for GS-11 level positions and higher - submitting for approval before being posted to USAJobs.com
► Archive NPS Director documents in addition to General Management Plans (GMPs), Environmental Impact Studies (EIS), Reconnaissance Studies and more for 410+ National Parks — preparing items for shipping to Federal Record Centers (FRC's) and NARA storage.
► Perform employee policy manual composition and updates - utilizing technical writing capabilities.
► Contribute to comprehensive components of data management through file type identification, retention controls, and disposition requirements.
► Maintain several google documents and ARCHIS charts for record tracking and workflow processes.
► Maintain compliance with federal regulations concerning record processing - executing knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting other functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
