Country Club Retirement Campus
February 2013 — January 2014
As an STNA in a long-term care facility, I was responsible for a numerous amount of assignments throughout my shift. I was first and foremost directly responsible for caring for my residents. I did a lot of personal care, such as: grooming, changing, feeding, dressing, and oral care. I was also responsible for assisting my residents in their daily activities, like: eating, watching a movie, toileting, etc. Emotional care is also a big part of my job as a nursing assistant. I didn't want my resident to ever feel belittled, or helpless. So being a positive aide really was a big part of my job.
