Manages a technical team supporting large-scale database management activities of clinical information systems in a multi-facility healthcare environment. Performs systems analysis of computers, communications, and network systems. Supports the installation of computer operating systems, network, application software, and computer/network hardware. Assists in implementation of testing software installation packages, training materials and communications. Provides support to customers and possesses troubleshooting skills and knowledge of military health clinical systems. Analyzes and supports technical documentation detailing installation procedures. Develops management policies, procedures/standards, and identifies business requirements. Manages the installation and maintenance of hardware and software on a daily basis. Performs system security checks and user account management on a daily basis. Troubleshoots LAN/WAN network communications operations, hardware and application software. Loads new software releases and software maintenance updates to existing database management systems. Logs trouble calls with the support center with required follow-up until problem resolution. Maintains a site log of trouble tickets and accumulates data for effective problem resolution statistics. Monitors overall system performance. Responsible for technical communication with management and other military sites.
