Tallay Wickham Productions

Freelance Producer

Producing allows me to combine my very different interests into a creative medium. Stories have an intimate position within our society, and they allow us to connect to one another. Producing provides creative constraints while allowing for creative freedom, and it is this balance that I enjoy.

Career

Dendy Cinemas

Event Co-Ordinator/Manager/Assistant

Creating events at this intimate cinema allowed me to have financial freedom while completing my degree. It also taught me how to lead a team, engage clients, and adhere to my business needs. From weddings to red carpets, I have always enjoyed working with people. Running events allowed me to create networks with other businesses and cinemas within the Sydney CBD that provided mutual benefits such as free screenings between cinemas, and discounted charity events.

Salvation Army Streetlevel

Volunteer

Volunteering has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. This was a thrift store connected to a mission that operated downstairs. We provided free furniture and clothing to those in need, while also supporting a thriving fashion community in Sydney. This brought many people from different walks of life into the store, and opened my world experience up in more ways then I could imagine. I am currently investigating new volunteering opportunities in the U.S.

University of New South Wales

Criminology and Criminal Justice, Bachelor's Degree with Distinction

University gave me access to a world of knowledge in many areas that I had never even considered. Instead of focusing on the answers, I was taught to ask questions, which was an invaluable lesson for me.
