As of now, I am still currently employed for Johnny Carinos. I am a server as well as our Training Coordinator,i have been Training Coordinator for two years and i have been with the company for three i would have hit my four year mark in June. Being TC I am lead Trainer and make schedules for the new incoming staff. I keep an eye and ear out for new Trainers for my team. I do classrooms as well for our new servers, now I am not the only one that can do these classrooms i can assign another trainer to do these as well as follows and that is when it comes to making a schedule. I have to make certain that I have a set schedule ready to go for both my new staff and trainers. Being TC i have to be in tuned as much as i can one slip and training can be prolonged. Now i also communicate with my management team about our new hires from the moment i shake their hand from introduction to the moment i have ended their training if i feel a new staff member is not going to be ready for the job they were hired for, again i discuss with management to see how we can fix this problem. Usually we can prolong training or place them in a different part of the restaurant where both the trainee and my management team feel comfortable. I also bring to my teams attention if there are any problems with my trainers and trainees. Now when i make my Training schedules i have to make certain that i have looked over the trainees schedule provided on their applications as well as my trainers schedules which get posted thru Hotschedules now i don't use this program for training, Carinos has provided me with a format i can type my schedule into and print out. Besides doing this i also get packets ready for training for their training book depending on what job task they are doing I try to put anything they will need with that packet. These packets get them ready and help them with their training, after training is over it is my duty to put all training paperwork away in their applications. The applications will have tests , training evaluations and and any notes i have compiled along the way. I am TC but i don't train everyone i train the front of house as we call it, from our servers, curbside and hosts. I have trained as many as 4 servers at once. In all i have trained well over 100 people not saying they have stayed, with the restaurant business they come and go. Besides my training and serving i am also on our catering team, i have catered small weddings, meetings, celebrations, as well as events with our own San Antonio Rampage and Spurs.
