•Counsel undergraduate, graduate students and alumni both individually and in a group format by presenting career development skill building workshops.
•Created and deliver a series of several new career fair preparation workshops designed to help students improve their communication, networking, and interviewing techniques during career fairs.
•Co-teach ORBITS an 18 week career development class and created a marketing strategy that resulted in an increase of applicants and an additional 12 students added to the final student roster compared to the prior year.
•Build relationships with employers to recruit mentors for ORBITS students in addition to building relationships with faculty and cultural programs to educate the campus on the importance of the program.
•Coordinate the intake and scheduling of campus wide special workshop requests on a daily basis.
•Supervise the Special Programs student assistant by assigning tasks and overseeing completion of tasks.
•Interpret career assessments such as Type Focus, Myer Briggs and the Strong Interest Inventory.
•Served as committee member for Chicano Students Programs “Cardenas Market Scholarship”, consisting of determining scholarship guidelines and dispersal of $50,000 in addition to reviewing and scoring applications.
