Health Career Connection/Hartnell College

Nursing and Allied Health Intern

Internship placement at Hartnell College through Health Career Connection, a highly selective, full-time public health internship program.
1) Work in collaboration with the Dean of Nursing and Allied Health and faculty at Hartnell college to prepare documentation for accreditation of new Respiratory Care Practitioner Program.
2) Provide mentorship assistance in Hartnell College/ Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital's Summer Health Institute for high school students.
3) Provide mentorship assistance for incoming first year students of Hartnell College's Health Science Summer Bridge Program.
4) Develop surveys for graduates of the LVN/RN program in order to analyze NCLEX passing rates, employment success, meeting of program outcomes and educational endeavors of graduates.
Accomplishment: Assisted with attaining probationary accreditation for new Respiratory Care Practitioner Program in July 2013.
