Lead Financial Inclusion Officer

1. To develop and implement the Financial Inclusion Strategy and implement action plan
2. To deliver the Money Matters project complying with the Big Lottery funding requirements meeting or exceeding all targets.
3. To monitor and evaluate the Money Matters project
4. To provide line management to designated staff
5. To provide opportunities for our tenants and local communities to improve their financial wellbeing
6. To develop effective relationships with external community and development service providers to deliver debt and money advice services and training to tenants
7. To research and implement best practice for addressing debt and money management and monitor outcomes of initiatives undertaken
8. To promote the participation of tenants and clients in all aspects of service delivery and encourage staff and others to make positive contributions to service development and improvement.
09. To pro actively work with internal and external partners to develop services that will enable tenants to maximise their incomes, improve their financial well-being
10. To promote benefit take-up campaigns
11. To assist our tenants in preparation for future welfare benefits changes i.e Universal Credit , setting up bank accounts
12. To pro-actively work to develop services that will enable our tenants to maintain warm energy efficient homes in the most cost effective ways
13. To educate tenants regarding financial services and products; proactively promote the use of reputable services, discourage the use of inappropriate services
14. To actively promote financial awareness and financial literacy amongst our tenants and communities
15. To promote income maximisation, debt advice and energy efficiency initiatives to tenants and communities through effective use of internal and external publicity
16. To organise community events to publicise the Money Matters project
