Manages projects to design, print, and mail a number of different Foundation materials including newsletters, brochures, invitations, and programs. Writes and copyedits publications and occasionally drafts news releases as needed. Manages strategic planning and execution of Foundation events, working closely with internal departments and external event consulting firm to make sure all logistics are handled in a timely manner. Project manages a number of special initiatives, including community storytelling project in collaborations with WNPR and a summer program directory in collaboration with the Hartford Public Schools. Helps to plan, create, and coordinate paid media initiatives to support the Foundation’s strategic goals and initiatives. Manages budget, contracts, creative and media with effective follow-through and accuracy. Proofreads all materials to be published by the Department, ensuring accuracy. Assists the VP of Communications and the Communications and Marketing Officer in development of yearly budget. Develops organizational tools, processes check requests, tracks expenses, makes travel arrangements, and orders supplies for the communications and marketing department to ensure sound financial management of the department budget.
