After graduating at the University of Padua, Italy, with a Degree in Civil Engineering, Silvia obtained a Certificate in Web Design at Temple University in Tokyo, and an European Certificate in Sales & Marketing at the University of Florence. She received the Proficiency Certificate in English.
Her background includes house construction at architecture and engineering firms in Bologna, high school teaching in Bologna and Padua, and acting as a webmaster for various organizations in Tokyo, Japan.
Silvia began her career in UNA Hotels & Resorts as Web Coordinator for the development of a new website for the growing company. She spent her first year in the Revenue Office acquiring knowledge about price management in hotel chains. Then, as the new website was successfully launched, she moved to the Image & Communication Office to manage the partnerships and supervise the marketing exchange contracts. She created the company’s first newsletter and blog, as well as its page on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, and Flickr. Furthermore, she trained the team responsible for the website’s implementation and maintenance.
As Web & Partnership Executive she developed a leisure oriented website in multiple languages to reach new markets. The same approach was taken when she created the company website for mobile devices. She started a project for the Customer Satisfaction Office to digitalize the comments sent by clients on their hotel’s experience, and a project to create a company fidelity card to reword returning guests.
She has spent this past year in the Marketing & Sales Office proposing promotions, in co-marketing with commercial partners, to be advertised through catalogues and mailings, and studying the new version of the company website and newsletter, whilst always keeping an eye on global trends and innovations.
