Materials development and system optimization for the chemical conversion of CO2
November, 2011 - Present
• Designed, developed and characterized novel catalysts for electrochemical CO2 conversion
• Evaluated the use of various support materials for silver catalysts for the electrochemical conversion of CO2 to improve catalyst activity and decrease cost
• Implemented the use of active and stable anode catalyst to improve current density and system energy efficiency for CO2 conversion
• Designed, and developed analytical method for the quantification of liquid and gas products
• Optimized microfluidic flow reactors suitable for different product analysis
• Studied the effect of silver nanoparticle size on the catalytic activity for CO2 conversion

Designing Novel Li-Air Battery Systems: Cell Design and Fabrication
September 2014 – Present
• Collaborated with Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc.
• Designed the 2nd and 3rd version of the battery cell and communicated with the machine shop to fabricate the cell
