HR Manager/HR Business Partner
In this position, I lead strategic and operational HR activities for AIG Claims, a national business unit with 1,500+ employees. My work also entails strengthening HR initiatives of the international casualty claims unit.
EXECUTIVE ADVISORY SERVICES. Overcame initial resistance to become a trusted advisor and business partner to senior leaders, providing guidance on performance management, succession planning, and retention.
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS. Selected for strategic initiative based on extensive ER experience. Member of team developing and implementing Center of Excellence for Employee Relations for improved service delivery and employee satisfaction, featuring ER advisors with online and telephone accessibility.
CHANGE MANAGEMENT. Socialized company’s change management process to ensure wide-spread understanding of priorities and to keep employees focused and motivated during transitions.
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT. Contributed to an achievement-focused workforce by conducting training for managers and supervisors on AIG’s relative performance rating system, tools, and guidelines.
ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT. Played key role in developing new organizational structure to relocate claims support to three areas (Alpharetta, Georgia/ Olathe, Kansas/ Manila, Philippines). Coached managers in change and resistance management, and created communications strategy to address employee concerns and relocation opportunities.
TALENT ACQUISITION STRATEGY. Worked with talent acquisition division to advance an effective recruiting strategy and acquire specialized candidates from competitors, law firms, colleges, and employee referrals.
