Production Operations Engineer

My responsibilities includes:
 Monitoring and preserving conditions of WDDM Gas Plant and offshore control platform to provide the national grid with around 850 MMSCFD of natural gas and ELNG plant with 300 MMSCFD for liquefaction, in addition to provide 20000 bbls/day of condensate to PPC (TANTA refinery).
 Interfacing with plant operators, process/project engineers, maintenance technicians and management personnel to coordinate technical activities in operating areas.
 Participating in Process surveillance, resolution of daily production issues, driving debottlenecking opportunities and implementation of improvement initiatives.
 Witnessed the performance and reliability tests for the gas compressors.
 Ensuring provision of a safe operating area.
 Familiar with DCS “Centum CS 3000 R3” from YOKOGAWA Company.
 Familiar with F&G and ESD system “Pro-safe YOKOGAWA”.
 Using the GMS program for scheduling the maintenance activities.
 Controlling the production subsea wells to set on the production scenarios by master control stations using different systems (AKER KAVERNER and VETCOGRAY).
 Supervising all the intervention operations on the subsea wells.
 Controlling the operation of the MEG recovery unit and subsea injection systems (Corrosion and scale inhibitors).
 Preparing the task, planned or unplanned shutdown isolations and start-up procedures.
 Participating in ORAs (hazard reviews), incident investigations, waste minimization, productivity improvements, product quality and operator training.

My responsibilities included:
 Predicting hydrate potential formation and its mitigation by MEG / MEOH (thermodynamic inhibitors).
 Performing several simulation runs using PSS (K-Spice) on the largest subsea network in the middle east compromising 51 wells, with hundreds of thousands of flowing pipelines, PLEMs, TIMs and manifolds.
 Progressing hydrate inhibitors injection optimization.
 Participating in the team responsible for the latest successful trial to inject foamers on the flow line of slugging flow wells to enhance their production.
