Provide guests (up to 20 at a time) with a fun, safe, enjoyable and memorable learning experience while exploring appropriate terrain at Perisher
Know the safety procedures for missing or injured students and guests
Be prepared to assist Smiggins and Blue Cow school areas as needed
Be knowledgeable of timing needed for lifts and teaching terrain to be prompt for check-in and other lessons
Describe merchandise and explain use, operation, warranty information, and care of merchandise to customers
Open and close cash registers, performing tasks such as counting money, separating charge slips, coupons, and vouchers, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits
Perform daily responsibilities, such as cleaning and organizing shelves and displays and securely opening and closing the store
Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and to explain what will be covered in the next class
Monitor students' performance to make suggestions for improvement and to ensure that they are safe and enjoying the lesson
Attend training clinics to enhance and improve riding and teaching ability
Answering the questions of individuals taking part in lessons and individuals at the resort as a whole
Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts, and know how to prevent or handle these situations.
Attend clinics to learn and keep informed on new products.
Responsible for opening and closing the store without a supervisor, merchandising, handling and balancing daily cash and sales report, and keeping the store immaculate
Provide the customers with product knowledge or hard and soft goods, put together skate decks and snowboard setups, and assist with warranties and special orders
Outfitting guests with rental equipment, adjusting skis and snowboards, explaining how the equipment works and providing demonstrations of safe use
Prepare rental forms, obtaining customer signature and other details
Reserve items for requested times and keep records of items rented
Perform ski repairs, ski tuning, storage, and other maintenance as needed
Managing the front desk; assisting customers with scheduling, sign-ups, answering phone calls, and responding to a variety of questions about rentals and activities in Wellington.
Assisting customers with kayak, skating, and climbing hire.
Supervising the climbing area as well as teaching belay lessons.
