During my time at Marymount, I have discovered my passion for graphic design, digital communication, and marketing. I was inducted into Lamda Pi Eta, a national honors communication society. I wrote my thesis on social media, concentrating on how users can use the platforms to become famous and increase their visibility, which is useful information in the communications field.

I am responsible for running numerous social media accounts on various platforms for multiple restaurants. In addition I design websites, create advertisements, and helped launch a new restaurant with the group. This is where I discovered my passion for graphic design, and have since created a portfolio and began my own design studio.

I write articles for my Marymount Manhattan's chapter of Her Campus on various subjects that are regularly published online. Some topics have included playoff coverage for various sports, fashion week coverage, and music reviews.

I was in charge of training new baristas and won several mug awards. I was also in charge of tip distribution and collection, and was respobsible for opening the store on weekends. At Starbucks I learned about responsibility and time management in a fast paced work environment.

I was responsible for closing, doing inventory, placing orders, and closing out cash registers. I helped customers find the juice(s) best suited for their helath needs, made fresh superfood smoothies, and helped customers build cleanses unique to their body's requirements. During my time at Juice Press, I learned about nutrition and the powers of raw foods and juices.

I Maintained the organization’s Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. I also wrote a bi-weekly column for the website called "Sugar Sleuthing" that exposed foods often perceived as healthy for their high sugar content. I also accompanied High Voltage, the organization's founder, to TV show tapings where she was a guest. This is where I discovered my passion for social media.

I also wrote several articles for the newspaper and helped with distribution when a new issue was released. This was my first opportunity to work with social media and marketing, which has now developed into my career goal.

I was a teacher aide in a watercolor class with young children. I was responsible for helping them paint, navigate the college campus, and when we ventured outside of the classroom, making sure none of the children misbehaved or wandered off. During my time here I realized the importance of art in education, which can help children express themselves and their feelings.

I was a reporting intern and worked directly with the editor(s). I was sent on assignments, went with editors into the field, and was given by first byline. I had 8 articles published covering various aspects of art and culture in Berkeley, CA. This was a hands on internship that taught me the ins and outs of journalism. This is where I developed my passion for writing.
