Software Engineering Intern

Maintain and improve Watsan Portal: Kibera, a geospatial database built in Python and Django, which is an information portal that maps water and sanitiation data. Code on front end (Javascript, JQuery, Backbone JS, HTML, CSS) and back end (Python, Django, database in PostgreSQL).
Member of 3-person dev team at 8-person startup.
The goal of the project is to help NGOs, government agencies, and independent organizations with solving water and sanitation problems in Kibera slum.

Colloquium Member

Participated in intensive colloquium on global health and security.
Planned an international symposium on Global Health and Security.
Coordinated logistics with two separate international student delegations from Palestine and the Israeli army.
