Ohio University College of Business
August 2016 — Present
The Integrated Business Cluster is a cross-functional program consisting of four core classes: Marketing, Management, Finance, and Management Information Systems (MIS). On top of the core curriculum, students are tasked with two overarching projects: a feasibility analysis for the creation of our own business (industry specified) and a thorough industry analysis comparing two existing players (within given industry). We gained practical experience in teamwork, leadership, time management, task allocation, and analytical thinking. These projects were formulated into a final presentation deck and report. We gave weekly deliverables to faculty members in preparation for the final deliverable at the end of the semester. Projects for our semester were an analysis for the Global Quick Service Restaurant Industry followed by a feasibility analysis for the creation of our own restaurant.
