A Hit of Sarah
Founder
November 2007 — Present
I began A Hit of Sarah, a fashion blog, when I was just sixteen years old. Once garnering attention from readers internationally I soon realized that this could be more than just a blog but a way to make some income and network with others in the fashion industry. A lot of the work I've done until this moment is experience I have been able to utilize in every position I've had thus far.
This includes:
• Sell ad space and work with advertisers to target the same demographic as A Hit of Sarah readers
• Collaborate and work closely with public relations firms, designers, brand leaders and other fashion industry professionals
• Produce unique content that is also geared towards a specific audience
• Imagine original editorials which includes finding the proper model, editorial setting and story, photographing and editing.
• Conduct research on well educated opinion pieces
• Utilize social media to build an audience and interact with readers
• Network with industry professionals and write at a professional level
My blog has also enabled me to attend many industry events and connect with numerous influential editors, stylists, photographers, writers, industry leaders and professionals. Some of these events include:
• New York Fashion
• London Fashion Week and London Fashion Weekend
• Tel-Aviv Fashion Week and an Israel sponsored press trip throughout the country
• Press previews for some of the biggest PR firms in New York including: People's Revolution, Factory PR, LaForce & Stevens, Mao PR, 5W Public Relations and more
• Art gallery openings and private exhibitions in both New York and London
• Fashion trade shows and markets in New York and London
