University of Dallas
Bachelor of Arts, Human Sciences
The extensive liberal arts curriculum at the University of Dallas taught me how to think for myself. I interpreted difficult pieces and formed an opinion on them. I discovered that knowledge is meaningless unless it is considered within the context of the society that made it. I explored the streets of Europe and was brought outside of my limited understanding of the world. I came to the realization that all books, even textbooks, have their own unique philosophy. Instead of trying to cram endless facts into my head, I was taught to use academic tools to draw my own conclusions. I was given the opportunity to dive deeper into what it means to be human.
