This internship will help to strengthen my professional skills in the realm of public relations and media. I will be posting and assisting with press releases, helping to ensure the success of various public outreach events, managing professional publication subscriptions, and learning how to succeed in a professional setting. I'm excited about this opportunity to explore the world of media and public relations and to improve my skills in both.

In this position, I work primarily with data entry and analyzation. I examine university employee expense information and create expense reports. Additionally, I scan and file paperwork and work in a team with numerous other employees. I have undergone trainings in Accounts Payable, Creating Requisitions, and Creating Expense Reports.

Her Campus Media

Public Relations, Marketing, and Events Team Member

Her Campus Media is a national media outlet with chapters at hundred of universities across the country. As a member of the PR, Marketing, and Events team, my duties include helping to promote Her Campus to students, businesses, and organizations in the greater Minneapolis area. We organize events and philanthropy activities for our chapter as well as working on our social media, advertising, and partnerships. Most recently, we held a very successful half-day women's empowerment conference, She Can. Over 75 college women signed up to attend the event, which had five panelists and one keynote speaker, all successful professional women.
