Women's Health

Senior Editor

In addition to assigning and editing the celebrity cover stories, I'm responsible for the Ask Anything Q&As, the Know It All column (which deals with careers, personal finance and friendship) and the You Lose You Win weight loss profiles. I also top edit fashion copy.

Freelance

Writer/Editor

I'm most passionate about telling stories related to careers, food, travel and wellness. A few of my favorite articles have been about modern work etiquette for Cosmopolitan, internationally inspired condiments for FitnessMagazine.com and women who are changing the way we eat and drink for CNTraveler.com.

Ed2010.com

Deputy Ed on Campus Director

I facilitate events and workshops for the campus chapters of Ed2010, a national networking and mentoring organization for aspiring magazine editors.

Food Network Magazine

Senior Editor

As the senior editor in charge of the magazine's lifestyle content, I gave readers a peek into the lives of their favorite Food Network stars (Tiffani Thiessen, Curtis Stone and Katie Lee, among others) and shows (Next Food Network Star, Guy's Grocery Games).

Natural Health and Fit Pregnancy magazines

Features Editor

My biggest task as part of the relaunch and rebranding team for these bimonthly national magazines was overseeing all of the food content (features and shorter department articles). I also edited the news sections while assigning and editing four- to six-page reported features on travel, personal finance, health and happiness.

Time Out New York

Associate Features Editor

For the weekly entertainment and culture magazine, I assigned and edited packages on myriad topics, including weekend getaways, careers, seasonal drinking and fitness. I also interviewed Elizabeth Banks and convinced her to pretend to be galavanting around NYC in a robe for the cover of a spas issue. (A+ sense of humor, that one.)

Morris Visitor Publications (MVP/NY)

Associate Editor

Also held positions as assistant managing editor, assistant editor, editorial associate and editorial assistant. Worked on two monthly titles (IN New York and Where New York), as well as an annual coffee table book (Where Guestbook) and quarterly mini magazine.

Saturday Night Magazine

USC Campus Editor

During my sophomore year of college, I helped launch a lifestyle and entertainment magazine for twentysomethings. By the time I graduated, we had expanded to schools all across the then-Pac 10, and I led the 20-page section dedicated exclusively to the USC community.
