While at the Syracuse University College of Law, Sara served as Managing Editor of the Syracuse Journal of International Law & Commerce, Community Outreach Director of the Syracuse Public Interest Network, and was a Student Attorney in the Disability Rights Clinic.

Sara earned CALI Awards for receiving the highest grade in her Legal Communications and Research I & II courses, the Journal of International Law and Commerce Gavel Award for her work on the Journal, and a Pro Bono Recognition award for completing more than 50 hours of Pro Bono work. She also received the Dean's Scholarship.

Sara also studied abroad with SU Abroad's Politics and Media in the U.K. program where she interned for Karen Buck, M.P.
