Responsible for the development and implementation of annual spirits & wine customer plans for Sam’s Club and Walmart. Maximize performance for Diageo spirits & wine brands within Sam’s Club and Walmart through execution of priority sales drivers, including promotion, distribution, visibility, etc. Lead and manage the direct link between Diageo and the buying teams. Coordinate spirits/wine planning & initiatives with the local Diageo business units and key wholesaler partners.
Design and develop customized annual plans that utilize priority sales drivers to deliver Diageo financial and volume targets. The spirits & wine annual plans will include brand level sales and marketing activity with extensive coordination between the buying team and distributors.
Manage Sam’s Club and Walmart spirits & wine A&P spends, ensuring budgets are strategically aligned with brand and customer strategies and delivering ROI targets. Lead communication with local business units to ensure alignment between Sam’s Club and Walmart A&P spends and existing local spends.
Responsible for a multitude of Sales activities, including but not limited to the following:
Principle point of contact for Diageo’s spirits & wine portfolio for Sam’s Club and Walmart.
• Building club and store channel programs and planning calendar for pos merchandise events.
• Collaborate with local agency and CP&A to develop program pos to secure secondary placement in clubs and stores.
• Build upon local MIR opportunities to gain buyer approval and operation support for secondary pallet placement in clubs and stores.
• Identify alternative solutions to bring gaps in brand performance through the development of value added packs in partnership with CP&A and supply chain.
