Digital Scribbler

Founder

Russ Ewell founded Digital Scribbler to ensure that technology could help people with special needs, including cognitive and physical disabilities. Digital Scribbler employs programmers to design apps that help with communication and speech.

Fortune smiled on me the day I became a father of a family with disabilities. Human limits became real as I watched my sons fight to overcome Autism and Down Syndrome. Their inspired efforts increased the intensity of purpose shared by my wife and me. We learned to live differently

E-Soccer

Founder & Jefferson Awards Honoree

Russ Ewell founded E-Soccer so that kids with special needs could still participate in soccer in a caring and supportive group that would help accommodate their differences. What began as a group of kids who just wanted to play soccer has become an international blueprint for how to design sports programs for kids with disabilities.

E Soccer Philippines

Russ Ewell's program, E soccer, provides an athletic space for kids with special needs. What started as just a way for Russ's kids to play soccer with the other kids in the neighborhood is now an international movement for inclusion through soccer. This video was taken at an E-soccer game in the Philippines.

"Russ Ewell from the Hope Technology Group is excited. "Apple could unlock another door for autism with this breakthrough," Ewell said. "Parents could create social story books." So could special education teachers or therapists, tailored for each student." Russ Ewell, quoted in Wired Magazine
