Directs, coordinates, integrates, and supervises all aspects of the Learning Commons and Learning Center, (Technology, Media, Library, Testing, Tutoring, and other connected initiatives), with a strong focus on customer service to ensure student and faculty success in and out of the classroom with a district and campus level reporting structure.

Develops and manages area $950,000 budget that directly supervises a hybrid department of 70 direct reports and 2 temporary employees. Collaborates with 8 Faculty Tutor Coordinators to ensure all tools, services, schedules and payment for services are correct.

Partners with Administrative and Academic IT departments to ensure Westshore technology needs are fundamentally consistent with the one College service approach to technology.

Collaborates with Learning Commons and Learning Center counterparts to maintain the One College consistency in function, message and services to the campus community

Develops and implements campus recommendations for improvement based on needs voiced by faculty, administration, counterparts, team members, etc.

Designs, organizes, and MCs start of semester team meetings to update part-time staff on new policies during semester breaks. Conducts one-on-one, just-in-time training during semester with any new changes.

Coordinates, directs, and administers off-site PSEOP testing at local high schools and on-site special initiative retesting.

Hybrid position that serves as the Campus Director, Technology Director, Media Supervisor, Testing and Tutoring Director, Testing Supervisor and Tutoring Supervisor

As the Campus Director of the Library, Technology and Testing/Tutoring:

Directed the multi-million dollar installation of the academic and administrative support services, technology, supplies and staffing for the opening of the Westshore campus

Coordinated the installations of 5 department moves and 14 faculty offices

Provides leadership, oversight and administration of academic and campus-based computing services, media services, Library, tutoring and testing

Developed and managed a $300,000 department budget (2010) that at June 2013 had grown to $850,000

Active contributor in college-wide departmental reorganization that included marketing, new job descriptions, new organizational charts, transitional training and assessment, and implementation for a college-wide reorganization of 250 personnel

Developed positive front-line customer service department from 6 people to 40 people with campus specific hybrid job descriptions. Strategically developed the tutoring department from 3 tutors to over 35 active tutors.

As the Supervisor of the Technology, Media, Testing, and Tutoring:

Partners and consults with faculty for the integration of technology, upcoming and current initiatives technology needs, and acceleration of developmental education coursework testing and tutoring needs

Partners with college’s Information Technology, Information Literacy and developmental education departments

Participates in and provides leadership for college-wide, campus-level, academic, student affairs, administrative and community outreach initiatives.

Coordinates new purchases, technology maintenance, and projected new technology for the 70 classrooms, conference rooms, special events spaces – as well as the coordination for the planning for the campus plan for additional buildings
