Senior Air Controller responsible for the safe operation of aircraft assigned to the ship for various operations.
President of the Mess Committee (PMC) responsible for the daily operation of the Junior Ranks mess. Including bartender rotations, ordering stock for bar and mini canteen, organizing recreation activities and ensuring finances were kept up to date. Conducted daily stock and cash counts.
Safety advisor for combat department. Ensured weekly safety briefs were conducted for members of the combat department. Attended safety meetings and addressed departmental deficiencies. Also assisted in filing accident reports and assisted safety officer in his investigations.
I was also responsible for 10 junior Naval Combat Information Operators. My duties included, ensuring a daily work routine was laid out for each member that included trade training and ships husbandry duties when alongside. When at sea I directly supervised their performance ensuring they maintained a high degree of readiness at all times. I also recorded their performance and wrote quarterly and yearly performance reports.
