Drafted and argued motions on topics ranging from domestic violence sentencing, equal protection claims for certificate of rehabilitation, the sealing and destroying of records. Successfully argued three misdemeanor appeals.
(Offer extended) Drafted motion to dismiss counterclaims of fraudulent inducement, breach of fiduciary duty, and state securities laws violations. Conducted legal research and drafted memoranda on qualified immunity, municipal liability, social host liability, and a variety of contract dispute issues.
(Offer extended) Conducted legal research on enforceability of contractual clauses under Texas law, due diligence for M&A deals, and backup verification for initial public offerings. Drafted ancillary documents and certificates for a finance deal, as well as the closing memorandum and indenture for high yield debt offering.
Conducted legal research on security law issues including Ponzi schemes, crowdfunding regulation, IPO and DPO violations, and material misrepresentations to investors. Also prepared documents for trial and attended depositions, interviews, and hearings.
Researched and drafted respondent’s briefs for five felony appeals, and conducted two oral arguments for felony appeals in the California Court of Appeal.

Coordinated and supervised daily tasking of assigned naval forces across four fleets and collaborated with naval counterparts from four foreign navies to facilitate training in ten multi-national mine countermeasures exercises.
Led 18 sailors in the execution of over 40 highly dangerous weapons evolutions. Wrote and implemented instruction manuals for three brand new onboard training and safety programs. Made regular presentations to large audiences, including ship’s senior chain of command.
