My main role was to ensure that the previous days deliveries for all the national partners were scanned onto a national database by a deadline of 11am, and to deal with any disputes or problems that arise from the notes with the relevant people be that driver or customer. Other roles included were dealing with disputes from customers or other depot partners on phone and email. Quoting business customers on the transport of their goods on pallets. Working closely with other departments such as payroll, accounting and transport services to ensure that problems, jobs and communication was effective and efficient. I learned many other roles whilst with this company to ensure that I could cover sickness, etc. I gained a lot of useful and transferable skills, as well as a Level 3 NVQ in Business and Administration, in this position and enjoyed the pressure of their challenges. I was made redundant from this role in 2011 and returned to college to gain further qualifications.
