I work as a consultant and instructor for The U.S. Department of Homeland Security. I teach Vulnerability and threat assessment, Protestor Devices, Intelligence gathering and Counterterrorism, WMD Hazmat Evidence Collection and WMD Crime Scene Management for Emergency Responders and Less Lethal weapons and munitions throughout the United States and overseas.

Responsibilities include supervising a squad of 11 Detectives, 1 Criminal Analyst, 1 Secretary, 1 transcriber, 2 crime scene tech's and 1 data entry specialist.

Detective Sergeant Broward Sheriff’s Office – March 2006 – Present

The Division of Internal Affairs receives processes, supervises and controls investigations regarding employees. The Division of Internal Affairs is also tasked with ensuring that misconduct allegations made against employees are thoroughly investigated while maintaining objectivity by gathering all pertinent information in a professional manner.

Detective Sergeant/ Broward Sheriff’s Office - May 2004 to 2006

Responsibilities include supervising a squad of 6 Detectives, 1 Criminal Analyst and 1 Secretary. My additional duties include training our grenadiers as well as other law enforcement agencies personnel in field force tactics, use of riot control weapons and the deployment of less lethal munitions; I also train personnel in “Managing Civil Actions in Threat Incidents.” Conduct training for the Field Forces from the surrounding agencies. I am certified to train agency personnel in responding and handling Radiological/Nuclear incidents.

Administrative Sergeant/ Broward Sheriff’s Office 2001 - 2004

Responsibilities include supervising a Traffic Squad of five motormen, a Juvenile Truancy Deputy and two Community Projects Deputies. My additional duties included the District Training Coordinator for 92 sworn and 11 non-sworn personnel. I was also the BIRM Coordinator, PPE Coordinator, District Fleet Coordinator, Zone Reports and Ops Plan reviewer and coordinator, Special Projects Coordinator, Threat Assessment Coordinator and CALEA Certification Coordinator.

I was certified as a Counterintelligence Force Protection Source Handler. I manage activities or perform duties that provide intelligence information; investigate personnel under Army jurisdiction to determine their suitability for assignment to sensitive duties; conduct interrogations, briefings, and debriefings; prepare intelligence and investigative reports; analyze and interpret intelligence and counterintelligence data; work closely with civilian law enforcement officials and investigative agencies; supervise and train subordinates; know organization, mission, tactics, and operating methods of friendly and enemy intelligence units and personnel.
