Consortium on Gender, Security, and Human Rights

Administrative Intern, Networking Director

I work closely with the Director and Associate Director at the Consortium to process incoming internship applications for the next semester. I check for new applications on the daily basis, conduct a preliminary assessment on applications, prepare completed applications for review, and correspond with applicants and newly accepted interns to guide them through their next steps to join the Consortium.

I also act as the liaison between the Director, full-time staff members, and interns. I am in charge of making sure that all interns update the Consortium on the work that they have completed in the correct format, schedule intern meetings and interviews with the Director and staff members, and handle other administrative tasks. My position requires high attention to detail and constant correspondence with the entire Consortium team.

As the Consortium's Networking Director, I plan and lead multiple team building events per month to facilitate team bonding and allow interns to network with one another. This helps create a sense of community at the Consortium.
