Graduate Co-Op Student at the Department of Surgery under Principal Investigator, Dr.Greg Fairn working on the ongoing Project : “Structure and Functional Analysis of Childhood Asthma associated ORMDL proteins”
➤ produce results in laboratory experiments using procedures including but not limited to : Gel Electrophoresis, primer design, transformation, and Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), Western Blotting, Biochemical Assays and Immunofluorescence.
➤ conduct tissue culture techniques such as maintaining cell lines, freezing-thawing cells, transfection, cryopreservation
➤ analyze literature reviews, execute and perform testing as per methods, following the company’s Standard Operating Procedures, ISO and cGMP guidelines.
➤ assist in the resolution of routine as well as non-routine technical problems, work independently with minimal supervision
➤ Prioritize, schedule and plan daily work in order to maintain efficient work flow to assure completion of schedule and due dates. Record findings in standardized format, keeping all records and analyst note book in good order. Prepare reports and record data in timely manner.
